Many people who currently exercise do not even think about their Cholesterol Level & the effects it has on the body.  If you ARE exercising & you have a high Cholesterol level, you may be doing more harm than good.  If you are new to exercising, go to your doctor & find out your Cholesterol level, give your results to your trainer, they will design the correct programme for you .  Having a high Cholesterol level (Anything over 4.5) means you are at risk of various health problems.  The good thing is that you can lower your Cholesterol level with a CORRECT, MAINTAINED, MONITORED & CONTINUOUS exercise & nutrition plan.  The wrong exercise programme can result in worsening your health problems.

Lower The Risk Of Diabetes:

Exercising & keeping in good health can reduce the risk of getting diabetes.  If you are a diabetic then exercise, health & a good nutrition intake is essential.

If you are or become overweight then you could be at risk of having blood sugar problems.  If your blood sugar levels drop too low or rise too high then you will have to control these levels either through your food & fluid intake or through insulin.

There are other causes of diabetes:

  • During pregnancy. Although the child can sometimes grow out of it, the mother will need regular check ups.  (GDM)
  • Some people are born with their body not being able to produce insulin as the bodies immune system destroys the insulin.  (Type 1)
  • The most common cause is lifestyle: lack of exercise, poor nutrition & high blood pressure.  (Type 2)

Coronary Heart Disease is United Kingdoms biggest cause of death & IT'S PREVENTABLE!!
